The subject area for the development of the Regional
Technological Platform (RTF) is Software Technologies
and Knowledge Software (STKS). Specifically, STKS can
contribute to the increase of the competitiveness of
enterprises in the area of software development for
resource management (including physical resources, human
resources etc.), infrastructure management, process
optimization (e.g. industrial design), commercial
applications (using technologies that record consumers
habits and interests in order to propose specific
products), emergency situation management (e.g.
evacuation of industries in fire accidents), as well as
specific needs in the medical field.
STKS are useful tools that aim at the improvement of
product or service competitiveness. This is achieved by
helping in efficient use of existing infrastructure and
resources and thus reducing the production cost.
Furthermore, optimization in the design of products
improves their quality and thus their competitiveness.
These facts contribute to a well-based development of
the companies, which can lead to increased demand for
their products and thus to further needs in personnel.
The STKS RTF has an important role in the aim to upgrade
the quality of services and products and thus helps to
improve the overall quality of life. Furthermore, the
